Manchester Corporation provides state-of-the-art
control systems that are available with UL508 certifications. Many
older systems can achieve considerable cost savings with additional
reliability by utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) on
a stand-alone basis or coupled with computer graphics systems.
Manchester has been providing systems for over 25 years and offers
systems for upgrading and new process controls.
Manchester has successfully completed hundreds of automation projects.
Our engineering team includes experienced mechanical, chemical,
electrical, computer systems, and CAD engineers.
We have direct experience working in the following industries: chemical;
water treatment; food and beverage; textile; pharmaceutical; power;
material handling; pulp and paper; biotech; semiconductor; material
handling; pharmaceutical; tank farm monitoring and control; medical
device manufacturing; and wastewater treatment. |

Manchester's SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system
is one of the most sophisticated systems available for monitoring
and controlling the process, while storing relevant data used to
compile and report plant performance. Manchester adapts to the customer's
PLCs and graphics interfaces (AB, Modicon, Siemens, RS View, Intellution
etc.)
Real-time graphic displays allow operators to control an entire
plant or discrete pieces of equipment.
Displays keep track of conditions and performance data allowing
plant performance to be optimized.
Routine plant maintenance scheduling can be almost completely automated
and initiated by the computer.
Modem installation allows Manchester to. troubleshoot and make
on-line program changes, if the owner desires. The SCADA system
provides operations personnel added insight into the system through
highly intricate computer graphic displays. With these displays,
operators move through the entire plant, viewing equipment and unit
process status.

The SCADA system also allows operators to control the entire plant,
specific sections or discrete pieces of equipment, such as pumps or
valves. The graphic displays reflect real-time conditions and data
such as flow rates, liquid levels, pump start / stop, and valve open
/ close, as well as critical analog values.
